What restaurant reporting actually costs.
Ask what restaurant reporting software costs and you will get a form. That is the normal answer in this category, and it is why nobody can compare anything.
Every figure below was on that company’s own page on 22 September 2026. Where a company does not publish a price, we say so rather than guess.
Published, on their own site
Two of those need a footnote. Avero’s paid tiers both say the price rises with your sales volume, so they are floors, not prices. And MarginEdge is doing a different job — invoices and food cost rather than a morning page.
Publishes nothing
Tenzo has no pricing page at all. Trezzo asks you to get in touch. Toast IQ is free but Toast’s own pages block automated reading, so we could not confirm what the tiers around it cost. We are not going to print a number for it on hearsay.
What the free tiers actually are
Avero’s free plan is not a trial. It includes the register connection, unlimited users, the mobile app, the logbook, check search, menu mix, payment breakdowns and scheduled email reports. If your question is really about sales, try it before you pay anybody, including us.
What free does not include, at Avero, is labor. Not one labor feature until Essentials. That is the line where paying starts.
The question the price does not answer
Nothing in this list reads your invoices except MarginEdge and Syphor. Nothing in it reads kitchen times. Price is the easy comparison and it is the one that matters least — what it reads is the whole decision.
If a company will not tell you what it costs before it knows who you are, that is information too.
Syphor reads your point of sale, your invoices, your hours, your kitchen and your manager’s note, sets every line against that restaurant’s own normal, and sends one page before seven. $199 a restaurant a month. Thirty days on your own numbers first. Book a demo.
Or skip the demo — tell us what you run and we set it up, or call 1 888 593 3881.
SyphorOne page, every morning.
Read a whole morning — one night, every lens. Or one page, as a PDF, for somebody who has to see it and was not on the call.
